History
At the outset in 1999 two small consulting project inquiries arrived which logistics and transport expert Björn Klippel could not refuse. Even then, he already had amassed many years of practical experience in international transport and logistics consulting.
In 1993, he developed an innovative logistical network concept for the thermal waste treatment plant in Bavaria. In 1995, he conducted a comprehensive logistics audit of a well-known stationery supplies manufacturer, and subsequently helped to develop its internal logistics strategy and still helps guide its service procurement activities.
This job was so exciting for Björn Klippel and so successful for his customers that he decided to establish a logistics consulting business. He realized that an opportunity existed for inventive and innovative solutions. Key was the recognition that market expertise, process know-how, and best-practice evaluation would be energetically embraced, especially if responsibility were assumed from initial research to implementation.
In retrospect and after more than 1,700 successfully completed projects, this was a fortunate decision to build a stable, owner-run consulting firm.
The next step on the growth path is the merger with the Transporeon Group, the provider of worldwide cloud platforms for intelligent transport logistics procurement and tranbsaction management. By bundling the strengths and know-how of both partners, customers will benefit from first-class IT expertise and innovative Big Data applications.
The other two divisions will continue to operate as independent companies under the company names TIM INTRALOG and TIM ENTSORGUNG. This will strengthen the two management teams with their competent and highly specialized team on the growth course already embarked upon.
Tim Consult owes this rapid development to the appreciation and trust of its long-standing customers. Today we can proudly look back on almost 25 years of consulting and implementation work – made possible and shaped by international growth as well as the continuous development of market knowledge and process competence.
